Clanfolk receives its 11th Update while in Early Access overhauling clothing, adding new clothing, and more during SimFest
From Press Release:
(Seattle) July 21, 2023 – Hooded Horse is pleased to share the latest update for Clanfolk, the highland city builder where you must lead a family through the generations, living your best rural medieval life. The latest patch introduces new zoning systems, overhauls clothing, and adds new decoration mechanics to glow up your hovel.
Decorations are a new class of objects in the game, split into five types – from wall hangings, to fitted bed sheets, and objects to put other decorations on; this highly-requested feature will let you add a little more beauty to your homestead. Developer MinMax Games intends to expand the feature to allow decorations to have additional effects.
Clothing has been overhauled to improve clan folk behavior during different seasons. As much as we can all respect the “Bare Chested Winter Scotsman” yelling at the snow to “come at me,” it’s time he put some clothes on before he freezes to death. Clanfolk will now try their best to maintain appropriate seasonal clothing based on what the average temperature and weather would be, with adjustments allowed.
Last but not least, new zoning mechanics will allow you to finetune your clan’s lives, with new home and work zones to increase efficiency, enabling buildings like Inns to be more functional. Check out the patch notes for more details.
Clanfolk is taking part in SimFest, a celebration of simulation games running on Steam from July 20 to July 24. Other Hooded Horse games in SimFest include the recently released Xenonauts 2, Manor Lords, Nova Roma, Against the Storm, and Old World.
Clanfolk is available on PC via Steam Early Access for $19.99 / £19.99 / €19.99 EUR / ¥2,480. A press kit is available.
