BELLEVUE, WA – November 7, 2023 – The first content update for Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure launches today free for all expansion owners. Titled “Through the Veil”, the update will add Inner Nayos, a new map outside the bounds of Tyria that is home to the Kryptis and their vast hordes along with new rewards, new relics, and Convergences, a new large-scale activity for up to 50 players. Convergences will challenge heroes to confront the Kryptis’ most legendary champions in difficult encounters while offering some of the expansion’s most tantalizing rewards.
On November 28, players will get their first chance to try out a new weapon on their favorite profession. In advance of the next major expansion update, players will have a chance to demo the upcoming expanded weapon proficiencies feature and provide feedback. This special beta event will run from November 28 until December 3.
