Western Digital’s line-up of award-winning, top-tier performance gaming drives expanded today with the launch of the WD_BLACK™ SN850X NVMe™ SSD in an 8TB1 capacity (available in non-heatsink and heatsink models). A new 4TB 1 WD_BLACK™ NVMe™ SSD with heatsink has also been added to the lineup.

The WD_BLACK™ SN850X is built for hardcore gamers, gaming PC builders and PC upgraders seeking massive storage in an M.2 NVMe™ format.  The drive is perfect for storing large files and media archives including game libraries, live-stream recordings, media servers, and more.

The drives are available for preorder now on the Western Digital® Store.  General availability at major retailers, e-tailers, and worldwide resellers is expected this August.
