From Press Release:
Today, Dutch games developer Gamious has announced Turmoil – Deeper Underground, a new DLC for their oil-drilling hit game Turmoil. It will be released on September 12th.
With Deeper Underground, Turmoil has entered the Roaring Twenties, introducing a brand new campaign, lots of newfangled mechanics, upgrades, new playable characters and NPC’s, and all-new areas and levels.
Turmoil – Deeper Underground will first be released on PC, with other platforms (Xbox, Playstation, Switch and mobile) following in the future.
New Features
The most important new elements in Deeper Underground are water and petrol. Water, found underground, is essential for transforming oil into the much more profitable petrol. Converting oil to petrol requires quite a bit of planning, precise drilling, and management, offering a logical evolution that aligns with Turmoil’s signature blend of relaxing yet time-pressured gameplay.
Regular drilling levels in Deeper Underground will be alternated with special research missions, in which it’s all about trying to drill as deep as possible, a highly requested feature.
“Creating a new DLC was not something we planned on, but every now and then some interesting ideas just popped into our heads. After some experimentation, we realized that a new DLC campaign was perfectly possible, and we couldn’t be happier with how it has all turned out. We’ve never grown tired of playing Turmoil ourselves and we’re glad players feel the same. We can’t wait to share this brand-new campaign with the millions of players who have enjoyed the game before, and we hope we can also welcome new players to the world of big bucks oil-drilling.”
