Skövde, Sweden — 30th September: FRAME BREAK and Amplifier Studios are over the moon to announce the first major update for Lightyear Frontier, their beloved intergalactic open-world farming adventure. The Neighbors and Animals update is bursting at the seams with fresh faces, new critters, and tons of exciting goodies for player’s cosmic farms.
Here’s what’s new on the Frontier:
New Characters: Ulf and Diane are moving onto the frontier, and they’re bringing tons of knowledge and helping players discover brand-new features! Ulf, the trusty plant guru, introduces the world of Seed Splicing, where players can make mutated versions of crops. Meanwhile, Diane teaches players the ropes of the brand-new Animal Care System, unlocking a sanctuary for all furry (and not-so-furry) friends.
New Animals and Animal Care System: Players can now say hello to the mystical Crystalhoof, and the playful Mox – 2 brand-new animals! They will also be able to scour the wilderness for abandoned eggs, hatch them on their farm, and nurture these creatures to grow and thrive.
From feeding to accessorising with snazzy hats, players can now pamper their animals like never before—and they’ll repay the love with unique resources! Who wouldn’t want a fashionable Swiftplume with a hat?
New Features and Enhancements: New craftables, new structures, and even more ways for players to spruce up their space! Whether it’s giving their own farm a fresh look or doing a surprise home makeover for neighbors, the possibilities are endless.
Plus, for those who take pride in a perfectly manicured lawn, the new Lawnmower Mode will make it even easier to customise the landscape, allowing players to trim their farmstead exactly to their liking.
The Neighbors and Animals Update for Lightyear Frontier is live now. Lightyear Frontier is available now on PC via Steam and the Xbox Store for $24.99/ £20.99/€24,99, and through Game Pass on PC and Xbox Series X|S. Starting 19.00 CEST/18.00 BST/10.00 PT on 30th September until 19.00 CEST/18.00 BST/10.00 PT on 3rd October, players can also get 30% off Lightyear Frontier and all DLCs on PC via the Steam Midweek Sale!
