From Press Release:
Redwood City, Calif. – April 24, 2025 – Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) unveils today an exciting new trailer for EA SPORTS™ F1® 25, inviting players to take the lead in the next chapter of the fan-favourite story mode, Braking Point. In the latest instalment, fans will experience the emotional highs and lows of competing at the front of the grid with Konnersport, while enjoying new gameplay features such as enhanced player agency, improved animations, and the ability to take Konnersport and its drivers into other areas of the game.
Braking Point 3 sees the illustrious cast return to confront new challenges as their story unfolds. No longer a minnow’s team, Konnersport finds itself fighting alongside the best in the sport. However, a dramatic event throws the team into chaos, testing their talent, determination, and skill as they battle for the World Championship.
The epic story mode will cater to new and veteran players through state-of-the-art motion-captured cutscenes, heart-stopping on-track gameplay, and new settings. F1® 25 introduces more agency, allowing players to choose which Konnersport driver to play as, along with four rebalanced difficulty levels. New NVIDIA Audio2Face technology delivers more extensive facial animations, and the updated “Meet the Press” features a more authentic presentation in driver interviews.
“We’ve watched Braking Point’s story evolve over the past two chapters, and we’re excited for players to take Aiden, Callie, and Devon’s journey into their own hands as Championship contenders,” said Gavin Cooper, Creative Director for F1® 25. “Knowing how much players cherish these characters, we’ve extended the Konnersport experience to other modes so they can continue to shape the team’s future. We’re enabling players to take Konnersport into My Team and Driver Career, allowing them to create new storylines as they go up against this season’s competitive grid”.
First introduced in 2021, Braking Point followed Aiden Jackson, a rookie looking to make a name for himself up against ruthless rival Devon Butler, a driver who would stop at nothing to succeed. The story continued in F1® 23, with the launch of fictional team Konnersport and the arrival of new protagonist Callie Mayer, the first woman to win the F2™ Championship. In the sequel, the once infamous Devon Butler had his perspective of the sport turned upside down, opening up a spot for Callie’s break into F1®. After two challenging seasons, the team improved its standings in the sport, setting up the latest instalment in F1® 25. Nonetheless, players will be able to enjoy the story and have a complete experience regardless of whether they have played the previous games.
