Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, the roguelike spinoff releases into 1.0 on PC and Xbox today

From Press Release:

AARHUS, DENMARK September 17th, 2025 – Ghost Ship Publishing and developer Funday Games are pleased to announce that the roguelike spin-off Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is now available in 1.0 on Steam and on Xbox Series X|S, and via Game Pass. Following a year and a half of Early Access updates, the 1.0 launch brings a brand-new Escort Duty mission, the introduction of the Gear system to progress through missions, and more than 250 new achievements for dwarves to undertake.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor’s journey to 1.0 has seen the introduction of new biomes, such as the beautiful depths of Azure Weald; the introduction of Mutators, modifiers that work to make a player’s dives easier or more challenging; and the arrival of Anomalies and Weekly Dives that push dwarves to their absolute limit as they showcase their skills.

For the 1.0 launch, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor will be receiving its biggest update thus far, which includes:

  • Suit Up – For the 1.0 update, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is giving players even more ways to customise their gameplay with six different types of Gear. Equipping items such as Armor will help boost defensive stats when facing down hordes of devastating bugs, whilst Gadgets will help soak up all the precious materials and experience that litter the screen, allowing a new level of customisation when deep in the mines.
  • Do Your Duty – The new main mission Escort Duty tasks the most battle-hardened dwarves to take on one of the deadliest tasks yet. With BOb-33 the Drilldozer, dwarves must battle through waves of enemies and mine like never before to escort the Drilldozer to the extremely rare mineral Ommoran Heartstone. Players will have to rethink their strategies, as they now work to keep the vehicle safe and moving, whilst also not succumbing to the perils of the planet.
  • Hunt for Achievements – The 1.0 launch delivers over 250 achievements on PC, bringing the total to 300 for the toughest of greybeards out there. Whether it’s simply unlocking new classes or overcoming challenging Masteries, each milestone serves as a medal of honor for players as they dig, shoot and look good while doing it.

“After a year of Early Access updates, we’re beyond excited to finally bring the 1.0 release to PC and Xbox players,” said Funday Games producer, Jacob Laurits Besenbacher Kjeldsen. “We’ve moulded Survivor alongside our player community every step of the way, and Early Access has been instrumental to understanding what our players want and what our game needs. We believe that Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor has found its form with 1.0 which sets the stage for even more on the horizon.”
