From Press Release:
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK October 5th 2023 – Ghost Ship Publishing, the company behind hit co-op game Deep Rock Galactic, has today revealed multiple updates on its portfolio of titles in its debut stream, Ghost Ship Publishing: On the Horizon. The recently formed publisher announced the signing of a new strategy game Dinolords and Early Access release windows of their two existing titles: auto-shooter spin off Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, and deck building strategy SpellRogue, both launching in Q1 2024.
Lords and Peasants and Dinosaurs, oh my!
Developed by Danish studio Northplay, Dinolords is a medieval strategy game inspired by cult classics of the real-time strategy genre with a twist – you get to command dinosaurs. Players take on the role of a medieval Lord determined to tame the land and build a thriving settlement with a little help from our prehistoric friends. Construct fortifications, man the ramparts and wage medieval warfare upon your enemies. With dinosaurs. Big ones.
Northplay and Ghost Ship Publishing plan to release Dinolords in Early Access in Q1 2025. You can find more information about Dinolords here, and wishlist the game on Steam.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor Demo at Steam Next Fest
Ghost Ship Publishing have also provided an update on the upcoming Deep Rock Galactic spin off shoot’em up developed by Funday Games. Following a limited closed beta earlier this year, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor will be playable as part of the next Steam Next Fest that takes place October 9th – 16th. Miners will have the opportunity to take up arms as Scout and explore the Crystalline Caverns biome on three different hazard levels, slaying hordes of bugs in the process.
The team has also announced that Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor will be launching into Early Access in Q1 2024.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor further expands the Deep Rock Galactic universe and puts a unique spin on shoot’em up games with destructible terrain, allowing for more diverse and decision-based gameplay. The game is currently available to wishlist on Steam.
SpellRogue Demo at Steam Next Fest
News lies in store for Guidelight Games’ SpellRogue, too. The studio’s upcoming turn-based deckbuilding roguelike will also be participating in Steam Next Fest, offering two full Acts of the game with four bosses and forty enemy encounters for players to tackle and best. One player character will be available, the Water Wizard, with three individual water loadouts offering a wide range of spells and combos for a glimpse at SpellRogue’s gameplay variety.
Guidelight Games’ deckbuilding roguelike adventure will be entering Early Access in January 2024.
SpellRogue is a turn-based roguelike fantasy game where players can cast powerful spells using their Mana Dice as they seek to drive out the Voidwalkers threatening to corrupt the world. The game is currently available to wishlist on Steam.
“We’re delighted to welcome Northplay and work alongside them on Dinolords.” Søren Lundgaard, CEO of Ghost Ship Games commented on the stream announcements. “We’re committed to helping the Danish game dev space grow and supporting teams that have flexible game design and open development is what Ghost Ship Publishing is all about.
