BELLEVUE, WA – March 9, 2026 – Hidden Path Entertainment has announced the highly anticipated Steam release of the Aftermath DLC for Defense Grid 2, will debut as part of the Steam Tower Defense Festival. Alongside the new content, Hidden Path Entertainment has introduced revised bundles and pricing to offer the definitive tower defense experience. The base game is now available for $10.00, with the Ultimate Edition, which includes the Aftermath DLC and extensive digital bonus content, available for $15.00.
The Aftermath DLC delivers an essential new chapter, consisting of five expansive missions that continue the narrative journey of Fletcher, Governor Tydell, and the player, with each large-scale level offering diverse tactical paths and solutions. Unlike previous chapters, this expansion introduces an opening story beat video to set the stage for the conflict ahead. To ensure maximum replayability, every mission fully supports all game modes and difficulty settings, with all scores integrated into the global leaderboards for competitive play.
The Ultimate Edition extends the experience with “A Matter of Endurance,” an audio play by Hugo Award-winning author Mary Robinette Kowal, a 312-page digital book detailing the game’s development, and two comprehensive art books spanning the history of the franchise.
As the sequel to the 2008 classic Defense Grid: The Awakening, Defense Grid 2 sets the bar for the genre by introducing all-new threats designed to test even the most advanced tower strategists. In addition to a compelling single-player campaign, the game features various game modes, including online player-versus-player and multiplayer co-op, ensuring every playthrough remains fresh.
