May 8, 2026 – A new era begins today for The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire. Developer BEF Games has officially launched its latest update, From the Streets, transforming the Early Access title into a true open-ended sandbox. Players can now choose how they begin—whether as a thief, dealer, or club owner—and forge their own path through a living criminal underworld where every decision carries weight.
From small-time hustles to large-scale operations, From the Streets leans into its “zero to kingpin” fantasy. Take on jobs like taxi driver or hot dog vendor as a front for illicit activity, build skills through use, and expand into deeper systems like warehouse management, production, and distribution. Each layer connects, creating a dynamic ecosystem in which risk and reward are constantly in play.
The city pushes back as well. A reworked police and wanted system introduces real-time crime detection and active patrols, with consequences ranging from fines and jail time to community service. Rival factions compete for control across different businesses, requiring players to build their own crime family and defend their growing operations, and decide just how far you’re willing to push your luck.
