Early Access launch date announced for Korea. IL-2 Series

From Press Release:

Limassol, Cyprus, May 30, 2026 – 1C Game Studios announces an Early Access launch date for Korea. IL-2  Series. On June 25, 2026, everyone who pre-ordered the game will receive  access to its pre-release version. Pre-ordering is available until the game is  released; the release date will be announced later. You can pre-order the game  on the project’s official website: https://il2-series.com/.

Two versions of the game are available for pre-order: Standard and Founder’s Edition. The Founder’s Edition includes all pre-order content, as well as Year 1 DLC access featuring five additional aircraft. There is a dynamic discount for both editions: the current prices of the Standard Edition and the Founder’s Edition are $79.99 and $139.99 respectively. After the Early Access is launched, the prices will rise up to $89.99 and $149.99.

Korea is a next-generation game of the IL-2series. It is created on a new engine featuring updated damage and flight modeling.

Players will be able to fly eight aircraft of that era. They were recreated in great detail using real blueprints, photographs, and documents:

★ MiG-15bis

★ IL-10

★ Yak-9P

★ La-11

★ F-86A-5 Sabre

★ F-51D Mustang

★ F-80C-10 Shooting Star

★ F-84E Thunderjet

Apart from player-controllable aircraft, there are dozens of machines on the battlefield and in the air, such as B-29 bombers, as well as meticulously recreated ground vehicles, trains, and ships.

The action takes place on the largest map in the series’ history: more than 200,000 square kilometers. It is not a modern Korea but a region from the early 1950s that was reconstructed using historical documents. On the map, there are dozens of airbases with accurate layouts, hundreds of settlements, as well as ports and dams: all these places are connected by an extensive transport network.

The game’s other features:

  •     Museum mode. Your personal hangar where you can explore cockpits, controls, and history of the aircraft.
  •     Career mode. Command an air regiment, manage personnel and logistics, as well as read actual news from that period.
  •      Accessibility. Detailed system controls for fans, but there is no need to memorize complex action sequences.

Supported hardware: gamepads, desktop flight  sticks, HOTAS systems, VR support via OpenXR and OpenVR.
