LOS ANGELES – August 3, 2026 – Today, Japanese developer Game Freak, in partnership with publisher Fictions, announced that their highly anticipated action RPG Beast of Reincarnation is now available on PC via Steam®, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Game Pass (Series X|S and Windows).
To celebrate today’s launch, players can experience a breathtaking journey through post-apocalyptic Japan with a brand new trailer. Combining fast-paced action combat, rewarding exploration and an emotionally driven narrative, Beast of Reincarnation follows Emma and her loyal companion, Koo, as they fight to survive a world consumed by blight while uncovering the truth behind their fate.
Set in post-apocalyptic Japan, this “one-person, one-dog action RPG” is centered around Emma, an outcast cursed as a “Blightborn,” who has neither memories nor emotions, and Koo, the Blight Hound who stays by Emma’s side. Players can experience a journey where they feel the reassurance and warmth of having a companion, as well as a sense of loneliness. Face an ever-changing world where dense forests suddenly erupt amidst the wasteland. By traveling and living together with her companion through this beautiful yet harsh world, Emma and Koo’s bond strengthens, and with it, interesting powers bloom. In this world consumed by blight… what will Emma and Koo find at journey’s end?
