Advanced Access is now live for Mortal Shell II, launch trailer drops ahead of release

London – August 17th, 2026 | Developer Cold Symmetry and publisher Playstack are thrilled to announce that the dark power fantasy Mortal Shell II: Devout Edition is now available digitally worldwide in Advanced Access. The global general release is happening later this week on August 20, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
Fans who pre-purchased the Devout Edition — a digital deluxe version that comes with eight Obsidian Shell skins — will be able to play Mortal Shell II right now. The Devout edition is still available for players who want to get into the world today.

Today’s launch follows the outstanding response to the Mortal Shell II Beta on Steam and consoles, which was downloaded by more than 1,000,000 players.

Mortal Shell II, developed by series creators at Cold Symmetry, is available digitally for $49.99 in the US, €49.99 in Europe, and £39.99 in the UK.
The Devout Edition is available digitally for $59.99 in the US, €59.99 in Europe, and £47.99 in the UK.
On August 20 the game will also be available in physical disc format on PS5, with pre-orders open now for the Revered Edition – a special collector’s version featuring a comprehensive Artbook, Exclusive Steelbook, Limited Edition Fine Art Prints, all presented in a special Collector’s Box. (Note, some retailers have already sold out the Revered Edition)
