From Press Release:
MicroProse and developer Wield Interactive announce that TFC2: The Fertile Crescent 2 – Collapse of the Bronze Age will leave Steam Early Access and launch Version 1.0 on November 6, 2026. A new teaser accompanies the announcement, offering a glimpse of an ancient world coming apart and the struggle to find a future within it.
As kingdoms fall, trade routes vanish, and famine spreads, Mutti and his family set out to find a new home. Their journey brings a personal perspective to historical real-time strategy, combining character-driven storytelling with settlement building, resource management, and tactical combat.
Food underpins every decision. Raising an army means feeding more mouths, and expanding a settlement creates new vulnerabilities. Players must build an economy capable of sustaining both their people and the forces defending them.
Following the recent addition of Act 3’s four campaign missions and six-player skirmish and multiplayer, Version 1.0 will deliver the campaign’s concluding act and a new Map Editor, building on improvements shaped by community feedback throughout Early Access.
Key features include:
- A story-driven RTS campaign following a family’s journey through the Late Bronze Age Collapse.
- Base-building and survival-focused resource management, with food underpinning population, armies, and advancement.
- Four playable civilizations, Assyrians, Egyptians, Babylonians, and Hittites, each with distinctive units, technologies, and strategic strengths.
- Tactical real-time battles, with Tactical Pause available in single-player.
- Offline skirmish and online multiplayer for up to six players, with AI opponents and dedicated multiplayer servers.
- The campaign’s final act and a new Map Editor, arriving with Version 1.0 on November 6.
- The game also introduces an updated art style designed for clearer readability in the heat of battle. Prefer the classic look? You can switch back with a single toggle.
The Fertile Crescent 2 is available now in Steam Early Access for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Version 1.0 launches on November 6, 2026.
