5 JUNE 2025 – Reignite Games invites players to embark on an exciting journey through the fractured fabric of time in Panta Rhei, launching July 31 on Steam. Blending fast-paced roguelike action with a deeply heartfelt story, Panta Rhei will send you on an adventure where time isn’t just a resource, but also your greatest weapon.
This news comes alongside a brand-new trailer, which shows Panta Rhei’s powerful ‘Chrono’ abilities in action. From freezing enemies mid-movement, to rewinding and replaying key attacks for double damage, to creating clones that will re-execute a specific previous move in the fight, the trailer showcases how your mastery of time can transform every encounter into a strategic and cinematic experience.
Play as Phi, a lone survivor (and reluctant Guardian) of a realm torn apart, who is thrust into a quest to save a realm crumbling at its core. As an ancient threat rises, master your ability to manipulate time reflexively to survive nail-biting encounters and restore order to the Realm of Time.
Inspired by the tight, stylish action of indie darling Hyper Light Drifter and the replayable depth of Hades, Panta Rhei looks to bring a time-bending twist to the genre, a mechanic which allows players to correct fatal mistakes, freeze foes mid-attack and replay critical hits to bring a new level of on-your-toes thinking to combat and puzzles.
Whilst this unique combat plays a key role in Panta Rhei, developers Reignite Games have also crafted a meaningful and heartfelt narrative which sees players traversing the Realm of Time as they meet a cast of colorful characters who help Phi uncover the true importance of time.
In the latest demo, players can experience four of the game’s locations, providing an early look at the game’s introduction and Phi’s first steps beyond the safety of their home.
Shocked by the speed that in which the launch has approached, Reignite Games CEO Raff Moser says: “Did we actually invent time travelling? How is the release already in two months? I better get back to coding…”
