COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, 30th April 2026 – Today, Ghost Ship Publishing and Funday Games launched the Heavy Duty Expansion, the first content DLC for Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, available now on Steam and Xbox. Bringing a new playable class, fresh mission content, and expanded systems, today’s release marks the most substantial update to the game since its 1.0 launch. A major free update has also accompanied the expansion.
At the heart of the Heavy Duty expansion is the arrival of the Demolisher, a new class built for speed and firepower. Equipped with the powerful Rockdozer vehicle, it tears through Hoxxes IV, demolishing anything in its path and reshaping the battlefield as it moves. With unique class mods providing specialised capabilities and high-impact damage, the Demolisher delivers a faster, more aggressive playstyle built to overwhelm the swarm.
Alongside this, players can crack open the new Egg Hunt mission, an objective-driven challenge where miners must recover Alien Eggs before facing a final stand against a powerful Brood Nexus. The expansion also introduces the icy Glacial Strata biome, where slippery terrain and environmental hazards create a more unpredictable and fast-moving battlefield.
Launching alongside the expansion, today’s free update introduces Endless Mode, an addition that challenges players to see how long they can survive increasingly intense stages. Endless Mode pushes builds further than ever before, supported by expanded upgrade systems and improvements that allow for more powerful and experimental playstyles.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor has continued to grow since its Early Access debut, with over two million copies sold and a dedicated community of miners shaping its evolution. To mark the launch of Heavy Duty, the game is currently available at a discount on Steam from 20th April to 4th May, giving new players the perfect opportunity to jump into the action.
