Starting today, Wang fans can wield the zombie slaying ice axe from The Walking Dead in Flying Wild Hog’s reimagined Shadow Warrior as an alternative to the iconic katana.
Croteam and Devolver Digital have flipped the ol’ switch that turns on Steam Workshop support for Serious Sam 3: BFE. Users are now able to browse and subscribe to their favorite mods created by fellow Serious Sam fans to change up weapons, enemies, and gameplay as well as add in new fan-made multiplayer and survival maps. In fact, there will be over 60 different mods already available for users to subscribe to and enjoy! Croteam, Devolver Digital and Mastertronic have announced the brutal first-person shooter Serious Sam 3: BFE will launch worldwide via Xbox LIVE Arcade on October 17th. Developed by series creator Croteam, the Xbox LIVE Arcade version of last year’s breakthrough arcade-style shooter has been painstakingly converted to take full advantage of the Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE to deliver an unparalleled Serious Sam experience on the home console.
“Ever since we announced Serious Sam 3: BFE our fans have asked us to bring the game to Xbox LIVE Arcade,” said Davor Hunski, Chief Creative Guy at Croteam. “Boom. Done.”
In just one week, Serious Sam fans around the world can download Serious Sam 3: BFE on Xbox LIVE Arcade for 1200 MS Points which includes the ginormous single-player, online cooperative, and spilt-screen cooperative campaign modes. The brand-new Serious Sam 3: Jewel of the Nile campaign expansion and all multiplayer versus modes like Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Last Team Standing and My Burden will be available at launch and priced at 1200 MS Points.
Serious Sam 3: Jewel of the Nile follows the legendary hero to the mysterious Temple of Isis on the island of Philae where a monstrous temple guardian lies in wait. With the release of the Diablo III beta, I’ve been thinking back of the games released this year and as it turns out, there are A LOT of games with “3” or “III” in their title. It’s not all bad, as a three shows the game is an established franchise and is possibly the end of a trilogy. It’s something worth getting excited for.
