Dying Light’s “Humanity” trailer shifts the focus from the infected to the survivors – people who had enough strength and luck to endure the outbreak. Yet, the worst is not over, as in the quarantine zone every day is a struggle and every night is a challenge. Sadly, the human mind can withstand only so much.
In what ways does the quarantine zone influence you? Does killing the infected really leave no trace on your mind? How long can you defend your humanity? What will happen when you eventually break?
Dying Light is a first-person action survival horror game set in a vast and dangerous open world, where players scavenge for supplies during the day as to be best prepared to survive the night. The game will launch for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2014.
Techland and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released today a new gameplay video from Dying Light, showcasing the darker side of the game’s revolutionary day-and-night-cycle mechanic. The video gives a glimpse into different strategies that players will adopt depending on the time of day in order to survive.
Slow, apathetic, and easily visible, the infected are not much of a threat in daylight. A skilled courier, sure of their parkour skills and smart enough not to engage in combat with too many enemies, can effortlessly avoid larger groups of the infected or escape beyond their reach. But this relatively safe state of affairs is turned upside down as the sun sets!
At night, it is you who is at a disadvantage. Without daylight, the senses of the infected become more acute while their thirst for human flesh skyrockets. They run, jump, and climb, so there is really no place where you are safe anymore. They grow in strength, which means fighting them is not even an option. Those of them who were too afraid of light to come out during the day now swarm the city hunting for you. Still, there is something even worse lurking in the shadows…
Techland has delayed the released of Hellraid until 2014. The team is adding new features and game modes for both single-player and co-op. This, along side Dying Light will be two of Techland’s big releases for the year.

If players find themselves overwhelmed by infected, they¹ll have to choose between fight or flight. Thankfully they¹ll be able to run seamlessly around the world‹from the rooftops to the ground, and everywhere in between‹with the game¹s free-running movement. Every choice in Dying Light has different consequences, what will you do?

Techland has formally announced Hellraid, a first-person co-op slasher that offers two games in one: a single-player, story-driven campaign of hack & slash action; and unique, co-operative multiplayer that pits four players against the denizens of hell – and each other – in a battle for points, rewards and fame. The first official screenshots, game details and more are available on Hellraid.com, where you’ll also find the developers blog, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the production of Hellraid.
The armies of Hell brought pain and destruction to the realm of man, and only a select few have the fighting skills necessary to confront the devilish monstrosities. Combining elements of hack & slash RPGs, first-person shooters and online multiplayer games, Hellraid features an advanced, immersive combat system with melee, ranged and magical weapons. The engaging Game Master system makes each game a different experience, placing loot and enemies while generating random online challenges.
With exploration, looting, questing, weapon crafting, boss fights, armor customization, character development, leaderboards, magic and so much more, Hellraid is set to drag you straight to hell later this year on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The story picks up immediately where the original ended. Discussion and exposition regarding the virus and those immune to it (the playable characters) emerges some hostile emotion towards the militaristic and the PMC named Serpo, control of your well-being. A torrential storm hits the ship, as does the virus that plagued Banoi. It wouldn’t be much of a continuation if something catastrophic didn’t happen.
