Ultra-Rare Mortal Kombat Trilogy Arcade Version Found?

UPDATE: TRMK confirms it is an April Fool’s Joke – sorry folks!

This is either the most inopportune timing ever or the most elaborate Mortal Kombat related April Fool’s joke ever made. User TerryMasters from ClassicMK/Youtube purchased the rare online Arcade version of Midway’s NBA Jam off of a fellow Arcade board collector (Source: Classic MK). He ended up obtaining an even rarer Arcade board after he broke his Arcade version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and thought he was going to receive one from the same person (Footage of interest starts at 6:20)

As a huge fan of Mortal Kombat Trilogy for PC/PSX (despite it’s flaws), I was floored by this discovery. I did have my doubts and thought it could just be an elaborate prank. But then someone in the Comments section of the above video reminded me of this footage. A commercial for a prototype version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy that never has been seen since.

Of note from the above commercial, the Select Screen is very similar to the Arcade version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 but Johnny Cage and Human Smoke are absent. The bosses also don’t appear on the Select Screen, but the commercial does note that the bosses are playable. Could the rare Arcade board discovered contain the same version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy shown in this commercial?

TerryMasters claims he will release more footage of the game in the coming days.
