GOG.com brings classics to Mac and Offers a Pay What You Want for Interplay games

, the digital distributor of the best games in history, just finished its CD Projekt RED & GOG.com Special Event, and they’ve announced an incredible new deal on Interplay games, many new releases, and even that they’re bringing their games to a new operating system–the Mac OS!

The incredible new deal from Interplay is a limited-time offer to Pay What You Want for Interplay Games in GOG.com’s catalog. For the first time ever, a big-name publisher who’s been in the business for decades is offering its catalog at a pay-what-you-want price point, and for the next 14 days, gamers worldwide will have a chance to buy Interplay games available on GOG.com for as much (or as little) as they want to pay.

For any price they feel is fair, users will receive 8 games, including greats such as Conquest of the New World, Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business, or M.A.X. and M.A.X. 2. Paying more than the average community purchase will net a total of 20 games, with fantastic titles such as Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Freespace + Expansion, or Descent 3 and its expansion included. Finally, the top supporters who pay $34.99 or more receive the whole Interplay catalog available on GOG.com–worth more than $190–including the three Fallout games, MDK 1 & 2, Sacrifice, Descent, Freespace 2, and more. Users who already own some of the games in the bundle will receive a giftable code for titles they have. The holiday season isn’t that far away, so anyone who wants a gift package of unmatchable value for the gamer they love should definitely think about picking up a gift code for the whole bundle.

GOG.com has also talked about some big new releases coming to the service soon, and even went so far as to invite the head of Daedalic Entertainment, Carsten Fichtelmann, on stage to talk about one of the newest titles coming to GOG.com today. Chaos on Deponia is the newest graphical adventure from Daedalic Entertainment, and is a sequel to international best-seller Deponia. The game will present the same cast of bizarre characters and wacky humor, beautiful hand-drawn high resolution 2D graphics, and hours of challenging top-notch point-and-clicking as the original, but continue on the story that helped make Deponia such a success. Chaos on Deponia is available for pre-order right now on GOG.com for 30% off, or in a special bundle with Deponia for 40% off for both. That’s only $23.99 for both Deponia and and Chaos on Deponia together only until November 6 at 10:59 AM GMT.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is a successor to The Great Giana Sisters, a platformer originally released in 1987 for the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, MSX2, and Commodore 64. The game follows Giana, now a teen, back in her dream world, equipped with an ability to transform to Punk Giana, and morph the whole world around her accordingly. Beautiful levels, flipping between worlds and characters, epic boss fights, and a superb musical score by the original game’s composer Chris Hülsbeck and Machinae Supremacy–all this, and more, packed into one challenging platformer. Giana Sisters is available for pre-order now on GOG.com, with a 25% discount for the next 5 days.

Puddle is a physics-based liquid tilt-the-screen puzzler which plays much more simply than the description might indicate. In the game, the player must guide a puddle of fluid to its target destination by tilting and rotating the entire environment and letting gravity do the work instead of directly moving the puddle. The game offers fascinating friction-, momentum-, environment-, and fluid-based puzzles and is now available on GOG.com for 20% off, that is only $7.99 until October 25 at 10:59 AM GMT.
