Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One includes original Gears of War series from Xbox 360

We’re heading into an exciting week at gamescom and kicked if off by announcing that that all fans who purchase “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition”, or the “Xbox One Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” Bundle, will be able to unlock the entire Gears collection via Xbox One Backward Compatibility.

• Starting Aug. 25 through Dec. 31, 2015, fans who play “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” on Xbox Live will be able to unlock the entire “Gears” collection for free via backward compatibility once it launches to everyone in the fall.
• All “Gears of War” titles (“Gears of War,” “Gears of War 2,” “Gears of War 3” and “Gears of War: Judgement”) will be supported for people who own the Xbox 360 titles when backward compatibility becomes available for everyone this fall.
• The original “Gears of War” will be available on Xbox One Backward Compatibility in preview today.
