Star Conflict update 1.2 unleashes the Dogs of War

StarGem Inc. and Gaijin Entertainment’s epic free-to-play MMO action game, Star Conflict, today receives an exciting mercenary-focused update: 1.2 ‘Dogs of War’. This new update brings several major features, particularly concentrating on non corporation players and improving their game experience.

Update 1.2 finally lets mercenaries – non-corporate Star Conflict players – join Dreadnought battles for control over sectors directly, entering a queue system and skipping the previous need to ‘call for help’ from a corporation. Following conflicts, a post battle report will reward players based on their contribution to the battle. Another addition for mercenaries are new customizable spacecraft with offensive and defensive capabilities depending on player play style, 6 variants are available. Lastly, a new Defence Contract mode tasks mercenaries with defending peace loving locations in outer space from errant pirates while corporations engage in deep interstellar battles with their alien foe.

“The ‘Dogs of War’ update offers a lot of new content and game additions tailored to our mercenary players,” said Stanislav Scorb, CEO of StarGem Inc. “Previously, certain aspects of the game were only accessible to corporation members, including the Dreadnought battles, which are very popular. We want everyone to enjoy the Star Conflict experience, and ‘Dogs of War’ allows that”.

Two new locations introduced in the update include Monolith Ruins, a city that was previously the main shrine of the Jericho faction provides players with a variety of cunning tactics to employ including ambushes or life or death chases through the narrow streets. Sanctuary, located in the orbit of the heavily conflicted planet Tar where the first evidence of Precursors, the legendary race, were found and which is now filled with pirates and all manner of players, a place of endless strife and battle. Star Conflict’s “Dogs of War” update will also introduce a new boss, known as the Destroyer, a lone being hellbent on destroying all missile defence systems, which small teams of players will need to bring down providing they can work together.
