BORDEAUX, France – Sept. 23, 2020 – Darksburg, the cooperative zombie action roguelite from Northgard and Evoland studio Shiro Games, reanimates today on PC for its 1.0 launch following eight-months of community feedback during Steam Early Access.
Travel to a medieval village with a zombie problem and cut through waves of the undead as one of five fearless Survivors. Tank hits and tear through decayed flesh as Varag the wolfman. Lead with a ladle and serve healing soup to allies as Runolf, the gleeful gourmet, or smash skulls as Sister Abigail, a nun blessed with righteous fury. Fight alongside a team of up to four players or AI partners and battle through procedurally-generated stages rife with danger.
Grow stronger with each defeated foe, unlocking a pool of randomized perks every time a Survivor levels up. Synergize skills, passive abilities, and loot drops to turn the tide against Darksburg’s shambling invaders. Watch out for super-powered infected called Revenants while pushing through the town’s districts, completing varied objectives, and scrounging for much-needed supplies as the unending hordes overrun Darksburg’s cobblestone streets.
No two trips to Darksburg are the same. With randomized level layouts, objectives, loot drops, and zombie spawns, the Outbreak game mode provides an endlessly replayable experience complete with reactive difficulty scaling. Experiment with character builds and unlock curios to obtain persistent bonuses and create the ultimate Survivor. Collect character skins, tackle challenging ascension modes, and master combat to become a hero and make it out alive.
