PORTLAND, AUGUST 20, 2024 – Announced today at gamescom Opening Night Live, Okomotive (FAR: Changing Tides, FAR: Lone Sails) and publisher Panic (Untitled Goose Game, Firewatch) are excited to present a brand new adventure: Herdling.
Shepherd your mysterious herd of animal companions while exploring gorgeous landscapes in this single-player adventure. Head out on a beautiful journey into stunning mountainscapes, fog-wreathed forests, snowy plateaus, and forgotten valleys… and beyond.

Herdling will be playable for the first time at PAX West 2024. Press are encouraged to come by to play the demo at the Panic booth on the showfloor and speak with the wonderful Okomotive developers behind the game. “With Herdling we wanted to start a new kind of adventure, not only for the players, but also for us,” says co-founder Don Schmocker and Goran Saric. “To create the herd of beasts and their mountainous world was an ambitious challenge for us and we enjoyed every step of that journey.”

We’re huge fans of games like Inside and The Last Guardian – stirring, solo adventures that really communicate a sense of awe, loneliness, and a particular brand of companionship. It feels like a bit of a lost art in the current games culture, so we were all-in on what Okomotive are doing with Herdling.”
