MENACE, the upcoming sci-fi tactical RPG dominates the battlefield with 250,000 wishlists

September 20, 2024 – Hooded Horse is delighted to share that MENACE, the new upcoming sci-fi tactical strategy game from Battle Brothers developers Overhype Studio, has crossed the 250,000 wishlist mark just over a year after it was first revealed. It is now one of the top 100 most wishlisted games on Steam!

MENACE was announced at gamescom in 2023 and tasks players with leading a strike force against a wayward system teeming with rogues, warlords, and mysterious enemies. Answer distress calls across different worlds and execute missions in detailed turn-based tactical battles. Players will need to manage a mobile battle force containing infantry, vehicles, and mechs with a freeform loadout system.

Overhype returned to gamescom last month to show off the latest developments of the game behind closed doors, such as off-map abilities like orbital strikes, the multi-faceted cover system, and the creative breadth of tactical combat. There will be more to show from this exciting turn-based tactical RPG later in the year.
