July 23, 2026 – Hooded Horse and Digital Sun are excited to announce the first expansion for their castle-building RTS. Cataclismo – The Old Kingdom introduces a brand-new game mode in which players conquer and defend multiple strongholds to reclaim a land lost to the Mist. It will release on PC via Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store on August 20, 2026.
Venture forth to reclaim a lost kingdom in a new strategic game mode where players must expand their domain through multiple citadels, growing the realm’s economy and military might turn by turn. Manage and dispatch troops between sites, sending crucial reinforcements to vulnerable points and delivering vital supplies to where they’re needed most. Build up defenses across multiple fortresses to hold back the onslaught of horrors from the Mist, which grow stronger with each passing day. Unlock vital technologies that enable powerful abilities that will help win the ultimate victory!
Key mechanics of the new expansion include:
- The War Table – Where the campaign is managed. Recruit troops, scout out the terrain, trade resources, and unlock technologies and abilities.
- Strategic supply lines – Develop settlements over time by marshaling resources between them, pushing the lines forward, and keeping the routes open for troops and materials.
- Grand Campaign – Each citadel is subject to its own waves, making each reclaimed fortress another front to defend. Hold the line long enough to reconquer the Old Kingdom, but beware: the final reckoning awaits!
The game is localized from English into German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
