House House releases their cooperative online multiplayer adventure Big Walk onto PC, PlayStation 5, and Switch 2 today

From Press Release:

PORTLAND, AUGUST 4, 2026 – Developer House House (Untitled Goose Game, Push Me Pull You) and publisher Panic (Firewatch, Thank Goodness You’re Here!) are delighted to launch their cooperative online multiplayer adventure Big Walk today on Steam (PC and Mac), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 for $19.99 USD, with a limited-time 25%-off launch discount. Big Walk is also available through PlayStation Plus’ Essential Tier on PlayStation 5.

Big Walk supports a minimum of 2 and up to 12 players. Gather your friends and go on an adventure through the bush, based on Wilsons Prom National Park on the south-east coast of Australia. Navigate your way across the landscape, completing challenges that put your teamwork and talking to the test. Get kitted out with tools and toys, unlock new ways to get around, and find out what’s on the other side of the big wall. Cross-platform play allows friends and family to play together whether they’re on PC, PS5, or Nintendo Switch 2.

And for those looking for extra fun with your friends, there’s a Big Walk and PEAK bundle available on Steam, netting you a 10% off discount when you buy them together or if you already own PEAK.

Big Walk’s soundtrack, composed by AKSFX, features 2 hours of original music split into various “radio stations,” each of which is now available wherever you stream music.

Big Walk is our attempt to capture our favourite parts of playing games together online. We started working on it during COVID lockdown, when that was often the main way we’d spend time with each other, and we’ve really tried to dial into the dynamics that make for a special shared experience,” says Stuart Gillespie-Cook of House House. “It’s an investigation of all the strange wrinkles that make communicating through a little character in a shared world so unique, while still including all the things we love about being with friends in real life – we want Big Walk to have some of the manic energy of being on the second day of a hike and talking about whatever nonsense comes into your head.”

“When we started working on Big Walk in 2020, we thought we were making a small, proof-of-concept prototype, as a way to learn the ropes of online multiplayer games,” says Jake Strasser of House House. “We figured we’d spend a few months making this thing; figure out the basics; and then move on to our Big Ambitious Game. But we just kept having so much fun playing it that we didn’t want to stop working on it, and we just let it grow and grow into something bigger and more ambitious than we could have imagined. Six years later, we still love playing Big Walk together, and we’re thrilled to finally share it with the rest of the world.”

About Big Walk
Big Walk is a cooperative multiplayer adventure about teamwork and talking.

Set out with your friends through a wide-open world full of challenges, puzzles, and discoveries. You’ll need to work together to find your way around, stay in contact using an assortment of tools and toys, and figure out new ways to communicate when you suddenly find yourself speechless.

Adventuring aside, there’s plenty of time to just hang out. Sit and watch the sunset, or steal your friend’s binoculars and kick them into the ocean. Spending time with friends is the best part of a big walk.

Featuring:
