Control trains, smash asteroid bugs, and climb the corporate ladder in PROFITS 2167: Planetary Resource Optimization & Freight Infrastructure Technician Simulator – out in Early Access today

From Press Release:

Kyiv, Ukraine — August 17, 2026. PROFITS 2167: Planetary Resource Optimization & Freight Infrastructure Technician Simulator launches today in Early Access on Steam as part of Ukrainian Games Festival 2026.

PROFITS 2167 is a short, high-pressure incremental arcade train driving game about delivering resources, defending mining infrastructure, and chasing ever-growing quotas under relentless deadlines and hostile fauna pressure.

Inspired by the modern tech job market, it combines simple controls with an increasingly demanding gameplay loop built around manual train handling, resource management, and constant decision-making.

You drive a speeding locomotive, hauling ore between stations across a corporate-run asteroid mining operation. Driving is meant to feel tactile and chaotic, allowing you to work the throttles, brakes, and junctions. Every shift feeds a bigger progression loop as you upgrade your train and hire Human Resources to slowly automate yourself out of a job, and make the next shift more profitable.

Rock Paper Shotgun described the experience as ‘like riding a rollercoaster on flying ant day,’ praising the tactile controls and the simple joy of ploughing through alien insect swarms.

Early Access ships with a handcrafted five-level campaign. The developers plan to expand the game on the (rail)road to a full release in 2027.

Enjoy the Future. Enjoy the PROFITS.

Key Features

  • DRIVE. Grab the throttle, brakes, and junction controls inside the cab. Build speed through winding asteroid tunnels, manage the engine, and try not to brake until absolutely necessary.

  • DELIVER. Travel between stations, load minerals, and bring them back for processing. The more you process, the more you can invest.

  • DEFEND. Mining attracts swarms of giant alien insects. Deliver ammunition, repair the damage, and keep the operation running.

  • DEVELOP. Upgrade your train to improve speed, braking, capacity, collision resistance, and more. Make every shift turn more profits.

  • DELEGATE. Rise from Junior to Senior Planetary Resource Optimization & Freight Infrastructure Technician, deploying security, repair drones, and automation to work for you.

  • ENJOY THE FUTURE. Experience a loud corporate dystopia inspired by shady startups, the modern tech job market, and LinkedIn culture, set to a relentless techno soundtrack.
