Stockholm, Sweden; September 14th, 2026 — Keepsake Games, the Swedish development studio founded by veterans from Hazelight, Mojang, and Coffee Stain, are excited to reveal that their spacefaring hit Jump Space is celebrating its first anniversary with an update bringing a host of quality-of-life changes and a player reward to mark the milestone.
The anniversary update includes:
- New inventory system, replacing the previous cargo bag and allowing spacefarers to carry even more items
- Auto-save feature that allows players to pick up where they left off if their spacefaring adventure requires more than one gameplay session
- Increased challenge rating, going all the way up to 8 and offering a wider range of difficulty for players seeking ultimate challenge
- Anniversary reward in the form of a brand-new helmet for players who jump aboard Jump Space between September 14th and October 9th
Free Weekend Incoming!
Alongside the update, Jump Space will be offering a free weekend taking place from the 17th-21st September, during which players get a chance to hop in for free and live out the ultimate cosmic adventure with their friends.Since its launch into Early Access last year, Jump Space has sold more than 900,000 units to date as well as adding a host of new content, including the game’s major summer update which added the new massive Hammerhead ship alongside reworks to looting, customizable weapons, deeper combat and more.
