April 2, 2026 – Hooded Horse and Goldhawk Interactive are excited to share that tactical strategy game Xenonauts 2 has left early access. The 1.0 build is available on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
Wage a global war of resistance against an alien invasion. Command turn-based tactical battles, build a network of covert bases, directly control your fighter wings, and achieve strategic victory in a simulation of asymmetric warfare against a technologically superior foe.
Xenonauts 2 first deployed into early access in July 2023, and has enjoyed several revisions and updates concentrated around seven major milestones. Improvements during EA include, but are not limited to:
- A completely reworked air-combat system
- Improved tutorial, and a more involved early game with The Cleaners – a pro-alien militia determined to thwart player efforts to counter the invasion
- New alien enemies, from new ground troops, to bigger UFO types, weapons, and more
- A defined endgame, letting players take their fight to the enemy, complete with closing cinematics
- New strategic layer mechanics, including supporters, operations, and reworked invasion phases for better progression
- New maps, biomes, and mission types, as well as revamps of original content from the initial early access launch
- New 3D models, animations, and art
- Modding via Steam Workshop integration
- Countless balance passes

The game is localized from English into German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
Xenonauts 2 is available on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for a base price of $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 / ¥3,980. There is a 35% launch discount running until April 15, 2026.
