Today, Ubisoft announced the Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass offer, granting access to all five forthcoming DLC packs to players owning the original game on PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, and Windows PCs.
Assassin’s Creed III downloadable content will feature “The Tyranny of King Washington”, an all-new single-player campaign available as a continual episodic story through three DLCs that will let players experience an alternate history of the American Revolution. It’s 1783. As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges. Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, George Washington, the greatest hero of the revolution, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land, our new hero Connor must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.
“History is our playground, and Assassin’s Creed teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period.” said Sebastien Puel, Executive Producer at Ubisoft. “While Assassin’s Creed III concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things ‘could have happened.’”
In addition to this all-new single player experience, the Assassin’s Creed III downloadable content will feature new maps and characters for an even more expansive multiplayer experience as well as other single-player missions.
The Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass provides gamers with all five forthcoming DLCs, scheduled for release within six months after the game launch, for a discounted price of $29,99. The Season Pass is now available for purchase on PlayStation 3 in the PlayStation®Store, and will be available from October 30 on Xbox 360 and from November 22 for PCs.
All Assassin’s Creed III DLCs will also be available for the Wii UTM.
Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed III for PCs will be available on November 20, 2012.

Following the showing at E3 2012, Assassin’s Creed III takes to the frontier in a video walkthrough of one of the demos shown at the conference last week. Commentated by creative director, Alex Hutchinson, the walkthrough of the frontier demo exemplifies the key pillars of the Assassin’s Creed franchise against the wild frontier setting demonstrating a slice of the massive open world scale of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

First up was the Frontier that was shown in part during Ubisoft’s Press Conference. Now being played live before us and going further than what was shown. Connor can hide in shrubs that allows him to stalk man or animal similar to crowd blending, you are unnoticed unless you make yourself out to be. Very cool looking battling in the snow. I get a bit of a Red Dead Redemption vibe as now you have quests and can do them at your leisure.
Next came a new section, Boston. This taking place in the summer as it rains. Connor finds himself helping oppressed people and helping them. Now Connor can take cover and do corner kills. Using a rope dart on one red coat to distract enemies he frees a man from shackles and runs away. In a way of using Assassin’s, you can call for help where your guys are dressed redcoats and fake arrest you and bring you in behind enemy lines so that you can get to the Templar easier. Once killed, he blends in with some workers and then grabs a redcoat and impaled his face on a pitchfork, attracting attention. Connor is able to fend off 5-7 guys at a time but decides to escape via rooftops and is able to use building interiors to break line of sight. Amazing stuff.
Lastly we were shown the Naval combat in video form, but we saw it in full during Sony’s Press Conference, still incredible. Nothing of Desmond or actual story was shown, but all will be revealed in due time. Assassin’s Creed III is going to be a euphoric experience beginning to end with how fluid you can move. Connor will become a new fan favorite soon as he has a lot of weapons at his disposal.
The newest trailer for Assassin’s Creed III gives a deeper look at the franchise’s new hero. Trapped between two worlds, Connor dons the mantle of the Assassin in the fight for justice against the Templars. Sentinel, outsider, and champion, Connor defends the land against those who would infringe upon freedom and liberty.
