Forza Horizon 2’s First 100 Cars Revealed

Today, the first 100 cars, out of 200 for Forza Horizon 2 was announced. All of the cars in “Forza Horizon 2” have been built from the ground up for this generation with the utmost care and detail, taking full advantage of the power of Xbox One and “Forza Horizon 2’s” dynamic weather and wide-open world, including new features such as functioning windshield wipers, working headlights and interior lights, and dynamic dirt-mapping.

Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games have announced that the 1000 Club Expansion Pack for “Forza Horizon” is available as a free download from Xbox LIVE starting today. Featuring more than 1000 new challenges, 10 new Xbox LIVE achievements worth 250 Gamerscore points to earn, as well as two brand new bonus cars, the 1000 Club Expansion Pack brings an epic new competition that spans the entire open world of “Forza Horizon.”

Forza Horizon Pre-Order Car Pack DLC out today

Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios today announced the immediate availability of the “Forza Horizon” Pre-Order Car Pack. Featuring cars previously only available to players who pre-ordered “Forza Horizon,” the Pre-Order Car Pack is made up some of the most notable cars in recent memory, including the 2011 Mercedes-Bens SLS AMG, the 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia and more. The “Forza Horizon” Pre-Order Car Pack is available for download on Xbox LIVE for 400 Microsoft Points. This pack is not part of the “Forza Horizon” Season Pass and will need to be purchased separately.

The “Forza Horizon” Pre-Order Car Pack includes:

• 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG – Running at speed, the SLS can pass most cars in the blink of an eye. Too bad for them, as their drivers will only manage a glimpse of the SLS’s retro-chic contours and manage a taste of the car’s asphalt-devouring prowess.
• 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia – An exotic that begs for the open road, the 458’s sleek eye-catching form has the beauty and grace you would expect from Maranello. The Ferrari’s exhaust note is delivered through three exhaust tips which range from low-end grunt to a high-RPM wail.
• 2012 Aston Martin Virage – The Virage takes most of its styling cues from the DB9, but nods to the extravagant One-77 are present as well. A layered leather interior with all the expected accoutrements will keep you comfortable and relaxed, even as the car’s power pins your head to the back of your seat.
• 2010 Nissan 370Z – Once again, Nissan has delivered a car that can compete favorably with models ten times more expensive. The Z line has a prestigious history and loyal following, but anyone can appreciate the beauty and power of this Japanese sports car.
• 2010 Volkswagen Golf R – Available only in Europe, this could be the sportiest Golf model to date. More than 260 horsepower from its 2.0 liter turbo make it a kick in the pants when pushed, and it can be pushed all the way up to a governor-mandated 155 mph.

Forza Horizon Rally Expansion Pack Available Tomorrow on Xbox LIVE

Microsoft, Playground Games, and Turn 10 Studios have announced that the “Forza Horizon” Rally Expansion Pack is available to download starting tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 18 on Xbox LIVE. The Rally Expansion Pack brings a thrilling new automotive experience – with new cars, terrain, and off-road racing challenge – to this year’s biggest racing game. The “Forza Horizon” Rally Expansion Pack will be available to download for 1,600 Microsoft Points or as a free download for players who own the “Forza Horizon” Season Pass.

With the Rally Expansion Pack, the Horizon Festival is expanding to include epic rally racing and iconic rally cars that have been specifically tuned to handle the extreme terrain of Colorado’s most formidable off-road stages. Players will test their driving mettle with new multiplayer rally events, leaderboards, and Rivals challenges, as well as a new set of career events that take place on rally stages built across Colorado to push rally drivers and their cars to the limit. These stages feature severe and sudden elevation changes, massive jumps, and more surface variety than has ever been seen in “Forza Horizon,” providing an intense and varied off-road driving experience.

The Rally Expansion Pack will include five iconic rally cars, each with its own storied real-world rally history. Players will be able to upgrade these cars with new rally-specific upgrades including tires, suspensions, transmissions, and body kits specifically created to maximize each car’s potential on the varied terrain of the Expansion Pack’s rally stages. In addition, players will be able to create their own dirt-eating machines by applying rally upgrades to any car in their “Forza Horizon” garage for use in the rally stages and in the main game.

Unnanounced cars for Forza Horizon DLC? *UPDATE* 5 Rally cars confirmed

So I boot up Forza Horizon today to download the new December IGN pack. Going into the Autoshow I found a few cars not mentioned in any of the current DLC for the game. When trying to purchase those cars though, I’m given an error saying that this is exclusive content and can not be purchased at this time.
