Developer and publisher Ishtar Games announces three new games that are releasing next year

From Press Release:

Lille, France, 7 December, 2022 — Ishtar Games, independent developer behind Dead in Vinland, The Last Spell, and the upcoming Lakeburg Legacies, announced today the first games they will be publishing in Worlds of Aria (Ludogram Games), Spirited Thief (Koi Snowman Games), and their own developed game Lakeburg Legacies, all releasing in 2023.

As a publisher, Ishtar Games will hand-pick each game it supports with the utmost care and attention, with a focus not just on finding quality games, but quality people behind those games. The studio will always be committed to diversity, kindness, and teamwork, and will bring the same energy, love, passion, and vast expertise to the games they publish as they do their own.

Lakeburg Legacies (by Ishtar Games) is a social-based village management sim focused on pairing up your townsfolk to make the best, most effective families in order for your kingdom to grow and thrive.

Spirited Thief (by Koi Snowman Games) is a tactical stealth game with a quirk. Scout undetected as a spirit, then break in as a thief to steal pricey gems under increasing pressure.

In Worlds of Aria (by Ludogram), players dive into an adventure to be played in a group, inspired by TTRPG adventures. Collaboration, betrayal, and arguments are all par for the course in this multiplayer game.

“We are super excited to initiate our indie publishing label’s journey with Koi Snowman and Ludogram,” Ishtar Games CEO and Creative Director Matthieu Richez said. “They have brought to us not only excellent games, but also great human beings to work with. I am convinced that this collaboration will bear fruit for all parties involved, which is very important to us.”

Ishtar Games has been developing video games for over 17 years and understands firsthand the kind of support indie studios need, as well as the importance of transparency and clear communication with developers. Since 2021, Ishtar Games is also part of Nacon, operating independently as their indie publishing arm, while benefiting from Nacon’s infrastructure.

“Ishtar Games convinced us with their strong ambitions, editorial direction and human qualities. As Ishtar Games is also a game developer, they have a particular understanding of what our studio needs,” said Ludogram CEO Edouard Gaudel.

“Ishtar Games is a rare gem in game publishing,” added Koi Snowman Games’ developer Simon Nowak. “Their kindness and unfailing support helps me give my all to the development of Spirited Thief.”
