Keep your eye on the ball as cozy soccer sidescroller Kick launches on November 3rd

From Press Release:

Switzerland, October 9, 2026 – Solo developer nospacelost, together with indie publisher Shoreline Games, has today confirmed that cozy, side-scrolling, slice-of-life adventure Kick will launch on Steam on November 3, 2026, following the new release date’s exclusive reveal during yesterday’s Convergence Showcase.

The announcement came via a brand-new trailer, offering players another glimpse at the game’s joyfully Japanese-infused landscapes, playful soccer challenges, and fleeting moments of childhood that await when ‘The Kid’ finally laces up his boots next month.

Following a busy summer that saw Kick take to the pitch at IGN Live and put players through their paces with its first playable demo during Steam Next Fest, that kick-off whistle is now so close we can almost hear it. With just under a month until launch, players won’t have long to wait before they can race through the streets, master their ball skills, and attempt to beat the dreaded school bell.

“The Convergence Showcase felt like the perfect place to reveal Kick’s launch date, having debuted the game’s previous trailer at the last showcase,” offered Keith Kawamura, CEO of Shoreline Games. “Indeed, the response to that trailer – and to Kick throughout the year, in fact – has been brilliant, and we couldn’t be more excited for everyone to experience nospacelost’s wonderfully charming world when the game launches on November 3.”

From bustling streets and scenic beaches to shaded underpasses and sprawling parks, Kick’s story will see players practising their skills in the park, running to catch the train and taking well-trodden shortcuts to shave much-needed seconds off their journey – all in the hope of beating the dreaded school bell.

With children around the world having returned to school after their summer holidays just last month, it’s a feeling we expect many players will know all too well.

“Kick has always been about those small, overlooked moments of childhood,” added nospacelost. “The response to the game and its demo has meant so much to me, and I’m incredibly excited that players will finally be able to experience The Kid’s full journey on November 5.”

Kick Key Features:

  • Kick, jump, ‘n’ run through 23 levels, each with its own hazards and opportunities.
  • Beat the timer in select timed levels set to challenge your skills, or disable timers for a more laid-back experience.
  • Collect coins to unlock skins for your ball and flags, which can be displayed in-game.
  • Use your ball skills to complete in-game challenges

Kick will launch on Steam on November 3, 2026.
