Switzerland, November 3, 2026 – The kickoff whistle has finally blown! Solo developer nospacelost, together with indie publisher Shoreline Games, today launched cosy, side-scrolling, slice-of-life adventure Kick on Steam.
Celebrating the launch with a brand-new trailer, Kick invites players into a charming, Japanese-inspired world filled with playful football challenges, familiar childhood experiences, and the simple joys of the journey to school.
From bustling streets and scenic beaches to shaded underpasses and sprawling parks, players will practise their skills, race to catch trains and discover well-trodden shortcuts to shave precious seconds off their journey – all in the hope of beating the dreaded school bell.
“It’s been wonderful to see the response to Kick grow throughout the year, from its showcase appearances to the fantastic reception its demo received,” said Keith Kawamura, CEO of Shoreline Games. “There’s something genuinely special about the world nospacelost has created, and we’re absolutely delighted that players can finally step into it for themselves today. With children around the world having recently returned to the classroom after their summer holidays, it’s a familiar race against time that many players will remember all too well.

- Kick, jump, ‘n’ run through 23 levels, each with its own hazards and opportunities.
- Beat the timer in select timed levels set to challenge your skills, or disable timers for a more laid-back experience.
- Collect coins to unlock skins for your ball and flags, which can be displayed in-game.
- Use your ball skills to complete in-game challenges
