From Press Release:
October 29th, 2026 – Together with an independent publisher, Retrovibe, we’re joining forces to launch Retrovibe by GOG, a new partnership supporting independent developers in bringing their games to players across PC storefronts and consoles!
The initiative combines Retrovibe’s hands-on publishing experience with GOG’s platform expertise, marketing capabilities and connection to PC players worldwide. Together, we want to help distinctive games find their audience, from development and marketing to launch and beyond.
Since its founding, GOG has been committed to preserving gaming history and keeping great games playable for years to come. Along the way, we’ve worked with creators who draw on the best of gaming’s past while finding new ways to entertain players.
Launched in 2021, Retrovibe shares that appreciation for games with character. With titles such as Project Warlock, and Shardpunk, the publisher has worked with independent teams creating games that combine familiar influences with ideas of their own.
With GOG now under the ownership of its original co-founder, Michał Kiciński, who also co-founded Retrovibe, the two companies have an opportunity to work more closely together.

The first release under Retrovibe by GOG is COP BASTARD, arriving today at 7 PM CET on Steam and GOG.
Built around the unapologetic energy of classic action cinema, COP BASTARD is a fast-paced first-person shooter featuring a gritty VHS aesthetic, intense gunplay, and spectacular slow-motion action. It embraces the explosive, over-the-top spirit of old-school action, putting players in the middle of a relentless FPS experience where every encounter is an opportunity to turn up the intensity. You can find all the materials about COP BASTARD here.
And there’s more on the way. Project Warlock: Lost Chapters continues the legacy of Project Warlock, the retro FPS that became a major hit with GOG players back in 2018. Building on the original’s old-school action, Lost Chapters introduces new worlds, enemies and weapons, bringing another chapter of the series to players in Q4 2026 – and will be available on Steam and GOG from day one.

Supporting new games is only one part of our commitment to gaming history. We’re also continuing to make sure the classics that shaped the medium remain accessible to players today and in the years ahead.
Five more titles are joining the GOG Preservation Program: Mortal Kombat 4, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, BloodNet, Personal Nightmare, and Weird Dreams.
The legendary Mortal Kombat 4 brought the iconic fighting series into 3D, giving familiar kombatants a whole new dimension in which to settle their scores. Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers remains a beloved adventure classic, remembered for its gripping supernatural mystery and unforgettable storytelling. Alongside them, three more distinctive games are receiving their place in our ongoing preservation efforts.
Each of these titles represents a different part of gaming history, with experiences worth revisiting and sharing with new players. Through the GOG Preservation Program, we work to keep classic games compatible with modern systems and ready to play long after their original release.
But that’s not all. This October, GOG celebrates its 18th anniversary. Since 2008, we’ve been working to make games live forever: preserving iconic classics, helping them run on modern systems, and giving players the freedom to enjoy their games for years to come.
That journey wouldn’t be the same without the players, developers, and communities who have joined us along the way. Every game rediscovered, every adventure replayed, and every new favorite added to a library is part of what makes this mission matter.
To celebrate 18 years of gaming memories, we’re inviting everyone to join our GOG Anniversary Sale, running until November 5 at 9 AM CET!
The sale brings discounts on a wide selection of games, including acclaimed adventures and modern favorites such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, DOOM Eternal, Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition, and the Yakuza Complete Series.
Thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to more unforgettable adventures, more gaming history preserved, and many more years of making games live forever.
