The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Review

May 05, 2025

I remember when I first sat down with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion back in 2006, it was just such a jaw-dropping and fantastic RPG experience. It was my first time with a Bethesda RPG, and I was hooked. So much so that I ended up getting 100% of all the achievements on Xbox 360. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is more than a simple remaster, but it manages recapture the feel of playing it like it is the first time. And if it is your first time, you’re in for a real treat. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered stands as one of Bethesda’s best RPGs and a world filled with wonderment and danger.

Starfield Review

Aug 31, 2023

We should really keep going to space, pushing ourselves further and further towards colonizing new planets and expanding the human race. While we currently don’t have the technology to do so, I feel like we’re on the cusp of making that leap. Starfield shows what that could look like for us, a new universe that’s filled with wonder and ready for us to explore. The visual language of this game is “NASA punk”, an aesthetic design where there aren’t screens to touch, instead there’s buttons to push. Bethesda Game Studios have been making games for a long time, but they haven’t made anything like this before. Starfield is fresh, and such a blast to play, there’s so many things to do and see, and all of it is interesting. Starfield is going to be someone’s Fallout 3 or Skyrim, bolstered by future content and modding. Starfield is compelling, enthralling, and has me enamored with its vastness and scale that is a truly stellar adventure.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom Review

Jun 21, 2023

The Necrom expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online kicks off the ninth year for the venerable MMORPG. The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom takes players to the new Telvanni Peninsula and Hermaeus Mora’s realm of Apocrypha for all characters to explore. This chapter also includes the seventh. The chapter also includes the seventh class, the Arcanist. While it doesn’t equal the price of admission, it is the first new class in several years that’s worth getting excited for, even if it feels a bit familiar. The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom takes players to new and foreign places that as a complete package make this expansion another solid entry that’s full of Lovecraftian horrors.

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle Review

Jun 28, 2022

I’ve been playing The Elder Scrolls Online on and off since it released back in 2014, and there’s a healthy amount of content now. High Isle is the first time where I’ve become fully invested in playing the game. And this feeling is helped after many updates that have improved the quality of life, from even when I last played it. The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle takes players to a whole new location, not just for the game but also the series, which is arguably it’s most exciting element. Then you have the main quest, a story centered around the Bretons that should be a complete bore, but instead is intriguing tale throughout. High Isle is new and exciting, with this latest yearly expansion giving Elder Scrolls a place to flourish with a location never-before-seen in Elder Scrolls.

Ghostwire: Tokyo Review

Mar 22, 2022

There is something infinitely tantalizing about stepping into the rain-soaked streets of a neon-lit city. The mere act of entry evokes adventure and mystery, with discoveries waiting for you around every turn. Add a strange fog that disappears humans in their tracks a la the rapture, and a host of wayward spirit visitors lurking in their stead, and you’ve got a setup for a uniquely eerie outing. This is how you find yourself at the outset of Ghostwire: Tokyo, thrust into events bigger than yourself as the only remaining living soul in all of Tokyo, under constant threat of death and imbued with ethereal powers of your own, and the only one who can put a stop to the total subsumption of humanity. It’s a great setup with some excellent visual style, but it doesn’t always meet its potential.

DEATHLOOP Review

Sep 17, 2021

Arkane Studios has an innate ability to make believable worlds with an engrossing story, backed by excellent gameplay. That trend continues in DEATHLOOP, where the goal is simple: break the cycle. What’s not simple is actually breaking the loop, as you’ll have to become powerful and ready to reach its conclusion. The environmental richness of Dishonored meets the combat versatility of Prey, for an exceptional immersive sim. Throughout your fifteen hours or so, is a journey of memorization, growth, and controlled repetition. DEATHLOOP is a shining example of the time loop perfected.
