Why should Windows-users have all the fun? Larian Studios’ seminal RPG,Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition, is out now for Mac, Linux, and SteamOS, and of course Windows PC with a 33% discount during the ongoing Steam sale.
When Divinity Original Sin released on PC, it had a huge following. It’s what folks would expect from a hugely successful Kickstarter that backed it. Coming from veterans of the RPG world, there was little reason not to be excited. Role-playing games of this nature are very welcome on the PC. Fast forward a year and some change later and we have the Enhanced Edition releasing, even on consoles. It’s a bold move and consoles usually don’t see these western RPG isometric style genre on consoles, but did the conversion from PC along with all the other additions come with a price?
Larian Studios is delivering some great new content to Divinity: Original Sin players today in the form of a juicy update. “The Bear and the Burglar” DLC pack, available for free via Steam, not only improves co-op dialogue by streamlining lengthy discussions, but adds two brand new companions with unique story arcs who can join your party as you set off to save Rivellon.
It’s an udderly exciting day as the best bovine mod for a Belgian-developed RPG launches with a mooving trailer that’s sure to satisfy the hunger in all four of your stomachs. In addition to highlighting the fine bovine action of the Cow Simulator 2014 mod, the trailer also features the beefy Divinity Engine Toolkit, which is now available for anyone who owns Divinity: Original Sin on Steam Early Access and will be included when the game officially launches on June 30.
Of the 3,000 English-language units of the Collector’s Edition, 1,500 have been claimed by Kickstarter backers. The remaining 1,500 are available for 69.99 EUR, exclusively at: www.larianvault.com.
