The sequel to NASCAR Heat Evolution is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One as NASCAR Heat 2 on September 12th. The development team looks to have heard the feedback of the prior game and implemented necessary changes for the sequel.
Back in the early 2000’s there were two main forces when it came to Stock Car Auto Racing video games, Papyrus’ NASCAR Racing series and EA’s yearly NASCAR titles. Monster Games lit a fire in the genre with NASCAR Heat and cemented itself as a name to be reckoned with. I remember the original titles leaning more “arcadey” than the semi-sim of EA’s titles and the full-sim of Papyrus’, giving those who just wanted fast cars and lots of passing something they could easily sit down and play. Now Monster Games have returned with Dusenberry Martin Racing to reignite that spark with NASCAR Heat: Evolution.
Dusenberry Martin Racing (DMR), NASCAR’s exclusive console simulation-style video game licensee, today announced the future of NASCAR gaming with NASCAR Heat Evolution – launching September 13, 2016. Marking the debut of the NASCAR video game series on the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, and also arriving on Windows PC, this new title will provide fans with a brand-new and authentic racing experience.
