The Cycle from YAGER gets into the holiday spirit with Holiday Event that brings new map and events

From Press Release:

YAGER’s competitive quest shooter The Cycle is celebrating the holidays with the new “Miracle Over Neptune” update, featuring a special limited-time in-game event and a preview of the highly anticipated Map 2 (part of The Cycle’s upcoming second season of content, expected early next year).

Every year prospectors across the galaxy gather to commemorate “The Miracle Over Neptune.” This legendary rescue operation on a doomed space station in the early days of space exploration reminds us of the need to stick together, give to those less fortunate, and keep hope alive even at the worst of times. Check out the full short story at:

Here’s what you’ll find in this new holiday event, going on now through Friday, January 3:

  • The upcoming Map 2 is playable exclusively from now until December 22. Explore a significantly more vertical and diverse environment with four unique biomes plus a town center with bars and a giant spaceship!
  • 12 limited-time challenges that can be completed on either map for special holiday-themed weapons and abilities. Players have until January 3 to complete these new challenges.
  • Both maps have been decorated for the occasion!

The Cycle is a match-based first-person shooter with a focus on PvEvP action: complete jobs, defeat hostile lifeforms, gear up with new weapons and powers, out-score other prospectors, and make it off the planet before it kills you. The Cycle delivers a competitive multiplayer experience where everyone can survive, but how you stake your claim can make all the difference. Form squads with friends, make uneasy alliances with strangers, or break truces and go it alone — the choice is yours!

The Cycle is free to play in early access for Windows PC via the Epic Games Store. Players can also grab the Fortuna Pass, a special season pass available in both free and premium tiers featuring over 150 exclusive unlockable rewards.
