From Press Release:

Hostile interpretation sim Mosa Lina, developed by indie studio Stuffed Wombat (qomp), received The Director’s Cut update on March 14th. The game, where nothing is planned and everything works, got new levels, QoL improvements, and the deletion of some content so that the game gained a renewed focus back to its original hostile puzzler roots.

About the game

A puzzle game where there are no solutions, only rules. Nothing is planned and everything works. Mosa Lina is a physics-driven puzzle game, where every ability is perfectly suited to solve a specific problem. The goal is simple: collect coins and open a portal. But how you do that is entirely up to you. Use whatever is at your disposal – you might get the same item ten times in a row; you might beat the game without seeing it at all. Unleash your creativity, for it’s your compass – there are no rules, no guides, and no help.

The Director’s Cut

The final update brings with it new levels, QoL improvements, and a renewed focus on Mosa Lina’s hostile puzzler roots.

The game will have removed: The Backflip, Turtle, Spikedrop, Moon, and Worm. While these tools fulfilled the function of increasing randomization and giving players more creative options, Stuffed Wombat is hoping to make changes that will integrate more seamlessly with the rest of the game.

The Director’s Cut will see added: an option to turn Backflip, Turtle, Spikedrop, Moon, and Worm back on; sliding scale audio settings, keybind integration into the menu; and more levels using already existing obstacles.

Features:

  • Test your creativity to solve head-scratching puzzles.

  • Collect fruits and open a portal.

  • Mix and match tools to accomplish your goal (though the game decides which ones you get).

  • Random modifiers can change every level

  • Yeehaw.

About Stuffed Wombat

After making a lot of free browser games, Stuffed Wombat has been collaborating with various talented artists on a string of off-beat indie games like qomp (which recently got a sequel from Atari), Gutwhale, the award-winning Ord and the award-nominated PRODUCER 2021.

Constantly switching between genres, he is mainly trying to work with new things. The idea is always to make something that you’ve never seen before, something that tries to escape the current design paradigms. Mosa Lina has been the most successful attempt at this so far.
