I received something very intriguing this morning. RedLynx (Trials HD, Monster Truck Nitro, and Moto Heroes) are putting together what seems to be a very ambitious and unique game for iOS. Not only are they revealing the [yet untitled] game, but also their new logo.
QUASI-REVIEW: Enslaved
So Enslaved, this game should have been marketed better, it’s good. It’s easily one of the most overlooked games of 2010. The story is a re-imagining of the ancient Chinese story, “Odyssey to the West”.
Cities in Motion Review
I’ve been a fan of transport simulation games for ages. One of the first games I remember playing when I was younger was Transport Tycoon Deluxe, where you run a transportation company, shipping goods around, hauling passengers, and build your road / rail / airport infrastructure. When I heard about Cities in Motion, I got […]
Test Drive Unlimited 2 Review
There are two things about driving a Supercar that get me going: wanting to drive that amazing and expensive piece of technology, and wanting to drive that car fast on a nice scenic route— driving wherever the wind takes you. Games likes Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo don’t completely satisfy that hunger because they make […]
Big Contest! Win Trials HD DLC!!
The RedLynx guys have been kind enough to give us 6 DLC codes for Trials HD. There are 3 for Big Pack DLC and 3 for the Big Thrills DLC. So we’re going to give them away! The DLC does require the full game of Trials HD for Xbox Live Arcade, found here and costs […]
Social Game Tracking: Raptr vs Playfire
You have Facebook and Twitter for forming social networks of friends, family, etc. Now there are an even tighter focus on the social networks: videogames. There is now Raptr and Playfire vying for your attention.
QUASI-REVIEW: Battlestar Galactica Online
If you know me at all, I am a huge fan of Battlestar Galactica. I was late to the party on the series and started watching (from the beginning) just as the series was nearing it’s finale. I wish I had watched the show when it was originally on, I don’t know how I missed […]
SimTower / Yoot Tower Review
First off, this is my first post on Saving Content. I’m Bill Rastello, a.k.a. WJR1985, a.k.a. bipp5. While I do play new games as much as everyone else, I tend to spend a lot of my time playing older (>5 years old) games. Because of that, there may be some odd blasts (or not-so-blasts) from […]
Gran Turismo 5 Review
No matter how I start this review out, joke one liner or serious, you will instantly tell where I’m going with this. I’ll first preface this by saying that I love Gran Turismo. GT 1, 2, 3, 4, GT:HD, and 5: Prologue I have them all and have played them all to death. Well, not […]
Battlefield 3 tease
The behemoth is back. Just a day after the announcement that Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield Bad Company 2’s DLC: Onslaught were both cancelled for PC, DICE and GameInformer revealed the cover to the magazine and a teaser trailer for BATTLEFIELD 3: [responsive_youtube xP0Ij1_VTY0]
Battlefield 1943 & BC2: Onslaught (PC) officially cancelled
It’s a sad day for Battlefield fans wondering where 1943 and Onslaught mode for Bad Company 2 is.
Mass Effect 2 and the NFS: High Stakes easter egg
Then it hit me last night as I went back for Samara’s loyalty mission, the music in Afterlife is not original music created for ME2.
QUASI-REVIEW: Champions Online
Cryptic Studios on January 25th changed their pricing model for the superhero MMO Champions Online to a Free to Play system. Since I can’t slap a score on a free game nor have I played enough to evaluate everything. I am making this a Quick Save, a feature where we have a look at a game for […]
Moved and other things
Haven’t posted any news cause I’m still winding down from my move of residence. What have we missed the past few days though?
What’s actually being reviewed? The Game or The Box?
We all read reviews. We want other people’s opinions on a game before we spend our money on it. It makes sense. There are times where we play a demo, and that is more than enough to sell us on the game. Other times we rely on experts to tell us what they think of […]
