Sierra™ has revealed that King’s Quest™ – Chapter 3: Once Upon a Climb, the next installment in the new King’s Quest, is expected to release worldwide on April 26 on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC via Steam.
Sierra™ today announced that it is teaming up with FuturLab to bring the independent developer’s critically acclaimed arcade shooter – Velocity® 2X – to Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC.
Brandishing the reinvigorated Sierra brand, which is a digital-only publisher under the umbrella of Activision, comes Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions. Lucid Games, (comprised of developers at the now-defunct Bizarre Creations, the development house that birthed the original Geometry Wars) is under some pressure to deliver a worthy successor, after a 6-year hiatus for the series. And on all fronts Lucid Games succeeds in doing that, even introducing a campaign of sorts, that gives level-to-level challenges beyond getting the highest score (even though you’re still doing that). “Retro Evolved” would be fitting for a subtitle here, more so than any game in the series’ history.

With the recent announcement of Sierra returning, one of the two games announced was Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions. Currently being shown at gamescom, we have the first screenshots of the game promised to be released this holiday season.
With a renowned history that’s served as the origin for many nostalgic video game characters, worlds and experiences, Sierra continues on today in a return to form that fans of great games will love. Sierra’s focus is on indie studios developing innovative, edgy and graphically unique games, including new IPs and contemporary reimaginings of beloved Sierra classics. Headlining Sierra’s slate of indie games is an all-new King’s Quest experience in 2015, and a new Geometry Wars game planned to launch this holiday season. Additionally, the Sierra team is well underway exploring other indie projects to potentially launch later this year, and in 2015 and beyond.
