When I saw the car list for Lamborghini Untamed DLC for NFS Hot Pursuit, I knew it’d be something special, a sort of deja vu – and it is. We get the Lamborghini Diablo SV, Lamborghini Countach, and the new Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. If you recall Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit, the Countach and Diablo SV were part of that car list back in 1998. Luckily Criterion has recreated them for you to enjoy again or for the first time.

A lot of attention was paid to the re-creation of these cars and their cop counterparts. This is something I touch on, in my Porsche Unleashed DLC review. The headlights. This is a detail some people may miss. The Diablo Countach and Diablo SV used yellow bulbs. This is reflected in the game world (pun intended), it is a little bit harder to see at night – but is realistic to the cars represented and it really sold me, even if the game is arcade. The cop car variants are outstanding, and really unique.

Alongside the 3 cars added to the car list, you get 5 Racer events and 5 Cop Events bringing no new modes, but always tense and exciting races bringing the right amount of difficulty.

All in all, this is a far better DLC add-on to Hot Pursuit than Armed and Dangerous, with no forced online play and more on the Autolog and getting to experience these classic Hot Pursuit cars all over again.
