Take On Helicopters Review

Sep 26, 2012

Take On Helicopters feels like familiar territory as the menus, the flying, and the overall look to the game is the ArmA II engine. There have been modifications made here and there, but a side-by-side comparison will seem like the same game. But really they play much differently than its engine forebearer.

Colour Bind is Now Available – A Unique Physics-Puzzler

Sep 24, 2012

I know “unique”, “physics”, and “puzzler” have been used many times by other games. But this game fits the bill. I have a Preview of it here. I will have a full-fledged review soon.

Imagine a world where Newton’s Laws of Gravity are connected to Picasso’s Laws of Colour. In Finn Morgan’s devilish spin on the traditional physics-platform genre, the colour of objects is tied to the push and pull of gravity. You must manipluate switches and break through obstacles in ways that will make you question whether what goes up must, indeed, come down.

Which version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD should you buy?

Sep 23, 2012

Well, first and foremost the answer lies with your own personal preference. If you’re on the fence on this and own more than one platform, this might guide you to see what there is. I found the XBLA and PSN versions to be identical except for the hardware controller layout. Performance and bugs persisted between both versions alongside the wonky physics that occur. The PC version, is a beast all its own. It’s just a matter if you can deal without multiplayer for a lower price and edit settings via an INI file (like I did) to get the best looking, and best performing version in the bunch.

Does price outweigh multiplayer? Do you have a controller preference? I have played all three versions and this is how they stack up against each other. Read the reviews for more detailed comparisons.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD (PC) Review

Sep 22, 2012

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD on PC is a huge bummer. The game itself is structurally sound and plays identical to the console versions. But what makes it so different?
