Bombshell from 3D Realms is a game with ambition, creativity, vulgarity, and action. And it’s all backed up by the gameplay given to me by the Vice President of 3DRealms, Frederik Schreiber. His passion and excitement for this game, rubbed off on me. And in all reality, Bombshell is a game I’m very much looking forward to.
My last game seen at 2K was another from Firaxis, another Sid Meier game, Civilization: Beyond Earth – Rising Tide, the new expansion for Beyond Earth. It looks to expand the game in ways it needed over the original game.
After seeing Battleborn, I was shuffled over to a well air-conditioned room to see XCOM 2 from Firaxis. And there are no surprises here, XCOM 2 is bigger and better.
I was invited to see Gearbox Software’s Battleborn, which is a new IP for them. I was given a 15-minute video presentation, followed by a hands-on demo. Not really knowing much of the game beforehand, I didn’t know what to make of the game. Coming out of it, I was very happy with what Gearbox is doing with this.

Hatred was first revealed back in October 2014, raising some serious concerns of a game that would pit you as the villain of the story, going on a murderous rampage killing innocent people. The game was even given an Adult Only rating by the ESRB, and after playing through the game, I can’t find anything that actually warrants the rating. The violence and gore of Hatred is certainly the least of the problems I have with it, though.
