Wave goodbye to 2D Sprites in Pokémon X and Y

It has happened folks, Pokémon has finally entered the 3D space with an all new main adventure hitting this fall. Pokémon X and Y will feature new graphics unseen in a Pokémon game before; travel towns and battle these pocket monsters in polygonal 3D. Gone are the classic 2D sprites in favor of graphics this game has sorely needed for years. It’s something that needs to be seen and the Nintendo Pokémon Direct that was viewed this morning gave a good glimpse into the action. Along with the news of the new graphics, Mr. Satoru Iwata revealed that the game will be releasing in all the major regions in October of this year. No more waiting for those outside of Japan. Please excuse me while I dance around the room like a cheerful little schoolgirl.
