Hand of Fate 2 is a great fit for the Nintendo Switch. With its combination of tabletop, collectible card game, and action RPG, it does everything the other versions of the game does – except done in handheld and portable form. Defiant Development’s hit from the tail end of 2017 sees new life in 2018. Whether you’re playing the series for the first time or double-dipping on another platform, Hand of Fate 2 is a unique experience that expands on the original in every way.
Hand of Fate was a unique take on collectible card games, table top RPGs, and even action RPGs. Defiant Development blended all these genres in ways that had brought a choose your own adventure to life. It had some nasty repetition, and initial growing pains, but frequent updates righted the ship and is a better game for it. Hand of Fate 2 takes all of what worked in the original, and improves on it exponentially to deliver a solid sequel that does not disappoint.
Defiant Development sees days of gaming in the cards for action RPG and collectible card game fans, as the Kickstarter-funded title Hand of Fate is now available on Steam Early Access. The finished game will be coming to PS4 in Q4 2014 and PS Vita in Q1 2015.
