Pid Review

There’s a lot going for Pid but unfortunately, it’s not enough to overcome its frustrations. It’s the story of a little boy, far from home, stranded in an unfamiliar world inhabited by kind hearted robots and vicious machines.

If Kurt is ever to find his way home, he’s going to have to brave some tough enemies. To make his way through the strange world of Pid, he must be clever and know the enemies — whether they’re trying to slyly knock Kurt off of a platform or suck up his lightbeams. These foes come in all shapes, sizes and prove to be quite tricky. This video serves to shed light on how many of them behave and how best to outsmart them.

Pid coming to XBLA thanks to D3Publisher

Jun 12, 2012

Today, Might and Delight, developer of high quality games based in Sweden, and D3Publisher (D3P), a publisher and developer of interactive entertainment software, announced their partnership to bring the stunning world of of Pid to Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Having partnered in the tail end of production, the vision has been entirely that of Might and Delight, while D3Publisher’s years of publishing expertise will solidify Pid as a stunning success.

Pid was one of my favorite games from E3, read here.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to share Pid with as wide of an audience as possible,” said Wendy Young, managing director at Might and Delight. “We’re maintaining complete creative control and are combining that with the distribution support of a great publisher.”

“We’re entirely thrilled to have Pid join our roster of great titles for all gamers,” said Bill Anker, vice president of business development and licensing, D3P. “Pid is a unique game and we know people will love it when it launches later this year.”

In the fantastic world of Pid, the player’s unique and eccentric journey unfolds as the young protagonist is stranded on a remote planet. Players hone their gaming abilities through creative approaches to gravity-bending action, intricate puzzle-solving and classic precision platform action, overcoming larger-than-life obstacles and truly original enemies and characters. Throughout the course of the adventure, players will be challenged to outwit a variety of quirky robots and befriend unlikely allies on their quest to face-off against a ruler that has no intention of letting anyone leave the planet.

Pid will be available on Xbox LIVE Arcade, Steam for PC, and the PlayStation Network.
