Turtle Beach RECON CHAT for XBOX ONE Review

May 15, 2017

Turtle Beach realizes that the standard chat headset you get with either an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 out-of-the-box, is rather sub-par. They are either fragile plastic, or flimsy earbuds that don’t have the power to output quality audio. Turtle Beach uses that as a baseline to construct something more in-line with what you’re looking for in a chat headset, and delivers light, durable, and quality in an affordable package. Turtle Beach RECON CHAT for XBOX ONE satisfies all of that, and makes you wonder why you’ve settled for less.

Kworld S33 Elite Music & Gaming Earphones Review

Mar 20, 2017

Kworld has been fighting the good fight in terms of making an accessible and powerful earphones that are more than just “earbuds”. This Taiwan-based company has made a believer out of me that earphones can be both comfortable and powerful with the sound that they output. The S33’s are comfortable, perhaps a bit too shiny, but deliver excellent audio that will make for an excellent low-profile earwear for gaming, music, travel, and even working out.

LucidSound LS30 Wireless Universal Gaming Headset Review

Sep 23, 2016

LucidSound is maybe a headset company that hasn’t come up in conversation when finding out “what’s a good gaming headset that doesn’t break the bank?”. LucidSound has released their LS30 earlier this year and more people should know about it. Though, the LucidSound LS30 Gaming Headset doesn’t even look like a gaming headset. Usually this is a sign of caution, but isn’t actually the case here. So where is the RGB lighting? Where is the accented colors? Oh, well that’s because LucidSound is a company that doesn’t settle for conventional. It may sound like PR-speak, but LucidSound has swerved around the garish headsets we’re used to, instead delivering on best-in-class audio and looks that will catch your eye, but not burn it.

HyperX Cloud Revolver Review

Aug 24, 2016

Kingston’s HyperX brand has been a prominent force amongst eSports and competitive gaming circles, but it is one of those things where it seems like these products are built for those players. In actuality, it’s for anyone and everyone to buy and use them as well. Sure, they are good for competitions and needing to hear everything to be successful, but the HyperX Cloud Revolver is one headset for all. It would be reductive to classify HyperX’s Cloud Revolver headset as “just a stereo headset”, because its clarity is a cut above what anyone is doing with headsets right now. The only exception is its price tag and lack of portability. This is a gaming headset that works with any device you plug it into, and will unearth sounds you hadn’t heard before.

Corsair VOID Surround Hybrid Stereo Gaming Headset Review

Feb 29, 2016

The VOID Surround Hybrid Stereo Gaming Headset with Dolby 7.1 USB Adapter is the newest headset in the VOID headset line-up from Corsair Gaming. Last year I reviewed the Corsair VOID Wireless Special Edition Yellowjacket, and really enjoyed the quality and delivery on PC and PlayStation 4. This headset is compatible with PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and even tablets and mobile devices. This makes the headset universally flexible to your audio needs, and can go anywhere you do. The VOID Surround Hybrid Stereo Gaming Headset from Corsair also sees many improvements from its wireless predecessor, and is all the better for it.

Corsair VOID Wireless Special Edition Yellowjacket Review

Sep 04, 2015

The Corsair VOID Wireless Special Edition Yellowjacket is a vibrant, colorful statement among headsets of its ilk. The VOID series comes in many different flavors, from USB to Wireless, and all of them have RGB lighting for a personal touch. Corsair designed this new line-up to stand out, and the VOID Wireless Special Edition Yellowjacket certainly does just that (though, there is a toned down carbon black variant of the same design). No matter what, the Corsair VOID will get you noticed, all while providing clear audio on any system you have it connected to.
